Snowblack's Diet

Snowblack's Main Foods

Grass

The best part of Snowblack's daily food is made of grass, a relatively long kind that comes from the hills that surround the Kathmandu Valley. The fresh grass, unlike the dry hay, is supplied daily, giving lots of nutrients to the bunny.

Leaves

Snowblack also eats a large amount of lettuce and coriander leaves, once again refreshed daily. The Romaine and Green Leaf types are his favorite.

Carrots

Much like all bunnies, Snowblack eats a number of carrots throughout the day, many of which are supplied by a local farm nearby. These carrots are crucial in giving the rabbit the vitamins and fiber that he needs.

Snowblack's Fruits & Other Snacks

Apples

Despite the high sugar content, apples are often given to Snowblack daily, along with the other fruits.

Cucumber

As Snowblack does not directly drink water, cucumbers are the perfect source of hydration for him, given the fact that most cucumbers are 95% water.

Bananas

Bananas, as always, are high in Potassium and Vitamin C, making it a good choice for the bunny, but only in small quantities

Radishes

Thanks to our nearby farm, radishes that are fresh and pesticide-free are a strong option for Snowblack, being high in fiber and all-important minerals.

Straw

Snowblack is frequently given straw to eat, despite the fact that his diet is founded on Leafy greens.

Snowblack's Treats

Some Dried Apricots on a wooden table.

Dried Apricots

For an almost daily treat, Snowblack is given one of these goodies to enjoy. He usually eats the outside of the dried apricot, leaving only the inner shell behind.

Raisins

After his garden time, Snowblack is often given two raisins as a sweet. These raisins can be seen above, however he would never be allowed to eat so many at once!
